Art History teaching in NZ schools, and the Venice Biennale
Lisa Reihana exhibited at the 57th Venice Biennale where her panoramic video “In Pursuit of Venus [infected]” featured in the New Zealand pavilion. At a recent monthly meeting of the North Shore branch, Claire Chamberlain spoke about her experiences as an exhibition attendant at the pavilion.
During her time teaching Art History at Carmel College, Claire inspired the girls to enter into the spirit of the artworks through costumes, food and fun. Later she continued sharing her passion for art by guiding tour groups exploring New Zealand contemporary art.
