We look forward to hearing from Jane about some of the Future Ready awareness modules the school is pioneering.
Many of our Branch members come from teaching backgrounds, and will be interested to hear about the changes since their time in schools.

This will be the final meeting of the North Shore Branch as we face the inevitability of closing due to declining membership. Numbers peaked in 1997 with almost 200 members, but have recently fallen to an unsustainable level.
Many long-term members have remained loyal to GWNS, including our current President Christine Ball who joined in 1986. Member Emerita Dorothy Meyer, who is still actively involved at the age of 96, has contributed to GWNZ in many ways over the years.
The remaining funds after the Branch has been wound up will go to the Graduate Women North Shore Charitable Trust. This will continue to exist to award scholarships to postgraduate women students, and awards to first year young women tertiary students.

After this final meeting, we are going out to lunch at a restaurant in Takapuna, to celebrate all that Graduate Women North Shore has achieved, and has meant to all of us, since its founding in 1966, 59 years ago.
We are delighted that the GWNZ National President, Sally Dunbar can join us that day.
