Graduate Women Manawatū (GWM) Friendship Bridge | Three Minute Thesis (3MT) style speech competition | Women Changing the World.
This competition celebrates the work of women students, in local and global contexts, to create more equitable and sustainable worlds. Tell us in 3 minutes: How does your research and postgraduate study impact the world?
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition. It offers an opportunity for research students to explain their research clearly and concisely so anyone can understand it; you have just three minutes and one static PPT slide.
Winner receives a $500 cash prize from Graduate Women Manawatū.
When: Wednesday 13 May 2026
Time: 1.30 to 4.30 pm
Where: SGP 3.42, Turitea Campus, Massey University, Palmerston North.
Entrants must be:
- International postgraduate women studying at Massey University, Manawatū

Winner to be decided by a selection panel. They will be looking for:
- Research clearly described
- Story telling: How does your research and postgraduate study impact the world?
- Ability to engage a non-specialist audience
