Welcome to the August newsletter. As I write this, I realise it is only 7 weeks till our AGM in Wellington on 10 October; and so, as we move forward so quickly to the end of the year, I urge you to consider attending this important face-to-face meeting.
The AGM is an opportunity for you to join together with other members from around country over the 1-1/2 days of this meeting, commencing with an informal start on the Friday night. It is an opportunity to not only reflect on the 2025-26 financial year ended in June, but also to participate in the business side of the organisation, including appointing new National Executive / Council members. If it is not possible for you to be in Wellington at this time, do consider joining online to participate.
National Executive is grateful to Wellington Branch for offering to host the AGM this year.
In addition, I draw your attention to the re-scheduled Advocacy meeting – “What does GWNZ’s Advocacy look like to You” - which Perya Short and Anna Campbell will be hosting on behalf of GWNZ on Wednesday, 26 August at 7.00pm. Unfortunately, as you are aware, this webinar was postponed due to unforeseen personal circumstances, but we are pleased to now advise this new date. While the information was in the July newsletter, and is provided again below, including links to connect to the meeting.
