Graduate Women Manawatū are seeking a branch President

Are you interested in developing leadership and governance skills? The Branch President role offers a great opportunity to develop skills and experience in a supportive environment with like-minded women - passionate about the GWNZ purpose - empowering women through education.

Role: President Graduate Women Manawatu (GWM)

Purpose

To provide leadership and oversight of operations of GWM Branch

Key work

Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership for the direction of GWM

  • Build and maintain relationship with the GWM Charitable Trust

  • Ensure the GWM Constitution and Rules is up to date

  • Represent GWM on GWNZ Council

  • Ensure GWM is aligned with GWNZ initiatives

  • Build and maintain relationships with other GWNZ branches/Independent Members Network

  • Liaise with like-minded local organisations

Oversight of operations

  • Ensure adherence to the GWM Constitution and Rules

  • Establish the agenda and chair branch meetings 

  • Oversight of the annual schedule of work and initiative

  • Provide oversight for financial management

  • Develop and support portfolio leads 

  • Be the contact person for GWM
