Recent developments and the sheer quantity of available data in computational power have resulted in an explosion of interest and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to genomics problems.
AI methods are now able to discover complex patterns which humans are unable to find or envisage.
In this talk Irene will provide an introduction to artificial intelligence (particularly to the branch of AI known as deep learning), its suitability and applicability to biological problems, and the findings of her research.
