Lanu Faletau, BA, LLB, LLM, a multi-talented New Zealander of Tongan descent.

Graduate Women North Shore were delighted to welcome Lanu Faletau as their July Speaker.

Lanu gave an impassioned talk about the role she plays representing Polynesians positively as she feels there is too much self-doubt in the Pacific Community. She feels anyone can achieve what they want or become whoever they want to be, with the right tools and encouragement. Lanu’s goal is to break industry barriers by advocating and vocalising the importance of diversity and makes time in her busy legal schedule to mentor Pacific students with academic and pastoral support.

In December 2019 Lanu represented the Asia-Pacific region as an
inaugural cohort of Obama Foundation Leaders met President Obama and Mrs Obama  

Most recently she was one of six women selected by FashioNZ, in honour of International Women’s Day, for making positive changes in the fashion industry.
