Susan Mander is a PhD student at Massey University's Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
She was the 2023 North Shore Graduate Women Scholar.
Susan will discuss her doctoral research on measuring outdoor light pollution.
She will describe this phenomenon, and show how light pollution can have widespread impacts on the natural world.
Susan will then review different ways light pollution can be measured, and conclude by sharing her contribution to this growing area of research.
