GWNS Charitable Trust and Branch Awards High Tea 2023

Senior Scholars and Undergraduate Awardees at the Awards High Tea, 28th May

GWNS Charitable Trust and Branch members provided a delicious afternoon tea for Trust Senior Scholars, Undergraduate Awardees, their families and supporters. Awardees were congratulated and presented with their certificates.

GWNS Charitable Trust Senior Scholars were:
Susan Mander  Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering, Massey.
Susan is researching the measurement of artificial light at night.

Chloe Ryan  Doctor of Philosophy in Sport Exercise, AUT.
Chloe is looking to determine the acute and longitudinal effects of wearable resistance on change of direction performance in female netball athletes.

Emma De Lautour  Doctor of Clinical Psychology, Massey.
Emma’s research topic is: Victim survivors’ experiences of surviving strangulation.

Olivia Pilbrow  Master of Health Science.
Olivia's topic is: The relationship between exercise and mental health for pregnant women.

Eleanor Price  Master of Science in Conservation Biology.
Eleanor is looking at the predictability of the relationships between local weather conditions, the use of off-shore marine habitats, and annual breeding success of the New Zealand Little Penguin and the critically endangered Tara-iti or New Zealand Fairy Tern.

Five students received Undergraduate Awards:
Makayla Bray (Westlake Girls High School) now studying for a Bachelor of Nursing at AUT

Rebecca Furness (Albany Senior High School) now studying for a Bachelor of Business Studies at Massey

Anna Leslie (Northcote College) studying for Bachelor of Science Nutrition at Massey

Gemma Offwood (Rangitoto College) studying for a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation at AUT

Georgia Perilli (Orewa College) studying for a Bachelor of Food Technology at Massey
