Established in 1921, Graduate Women New Zealand has been dedicated to empowering women through education for over a century. Our organisation's rich history and purpose drive us to create opportunities that enable women to thrive academically and professionally. As a proud member of Graduate Women International, we serve as consultants to the United Nations and its agencies, advocating for gender equality and women's empowerment on a global scale.

In this edition of our newsletter, we are excited to present the exceptional scholarship opportunities available through Graduate Women NZ. With a legacy dating back to 1921, we have been at the forefront of supporting women's education and research for many years. Our purpose is to empower women through education, and we have proudly awarded over $1 million dollars in scholarships since 2010 to deserving women at various stages of their academic journey.

Through our affiliation with Graduate Women International, we hold a significant role as consultants to the United Nations and its agencies. This esteemed position allows us to contribute to important discussions on gender equality and advocate for women's rights on an international platform. Our commitment to empowering women extends beyond scholarships, as we work tirelessly to create a more equitable world for all.

Discover the range of scholarships available, including the prestigious GWNZ Fellowships, the Harriette Jenkins Scholarship, the Susan Byrne Memorial Scholarship, and the Rebecca L Lynch Scholarship. These scholarships provide financial assistance and support to women pursuing higher education and research across various disciplines. By investing in the academic pursuits of women, we believe in creating a brighter future and fostering the growth of leaders who will make a significant impact in their fields.

We invite you to explore our website [https://gwnz.org.nz/scholarships] to learn more about these scholarships and the incredible accomplishments of our past awardees. Please note, that most scholarships close on 30 June 2023. Be inspired by their stories and consider applying for these life-changing opportunities. Your academic journey starts here, and together, we can continue to empower women through education.

GWNZ is here to support you, and we are committed to creating a better future for all women through education. Together, we can make a difference.

Nga mihi nui,
Sally Dunbar,
President, Graduate Women New Zealand
