As we step into September, I'm thrilled to share an exciting update regarding the "Celebrating Exceptional Achievements in 2023" Awards organised by the GWNZ Charitable Trust. This year, we received an overwhelming number of applications – over 300, to be precise. It's truly heartening to witness such a remarkable response, and I want to extend my sincere gratitude to each and every individual who took the time to apply.

I am delighted to announce the exceptional individuals who have been selected as recipients of this year's awards. Their dedication, passion, and outstanding accomplishments have truly left us inspired. Let's take a moment to recognise them:

Fellowship Awardees

Niusha Aryan
Lucy Bell
Mary Buchanan
Vinuli Withanarachie
Alannah Woodford

Recognising Excellence - Harriette Jenkins Awardee

Ann Pomeroy

Supporting Future Leaders - Susan Byrne Awardee

Siobhan Waterhouse

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our community. I also want to express my heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated reviewers who invested their time, expertise, and meticulous evaluation into each application. Your efforts have played a pivotal role in shaping this year's exceptional awardees.

For those who applied and were not selected this time, I want to acknowledge your remarkable achievements and efforts. Your pursuit of excellence within education continues to shine.

For those who may not be aware, it's important to note that while Graduate Women New Zealand (GWNZ) has a charitable trust, our individual branches also have their own charitable trust scholarships. If you or someone you know is considering applying, I encourage you to connect with your local branch to learn more about their scholarship opportunities. Additionally, consider joining and attending their incredible networking events, which offer valuable opportunities for growth and connection within our vibrant community.

Congratulations once again to our awardees! Your accomplishments are a true testament to your unwavering dedication. We are honoured to support you on your path to greatness.

Let's continue celebrating the achievements of our incredible community. Together, we are forging a brighter future and empowering the leaders of tomorrow.
