Harriet Jenkins Awardee Report Jackmil Puthoor Jogy

The purpose of the Harriette Jenkins Awards are to encourage GWNZ members to undertake study or research. The awards are made in recognition of service to GWNZ at the international, national or branch levels.

I was really fortunate to be awarded the Harriette Jenkins Award in 2017. This award assisted me to purchase a laptop to help me analyze my data and with thesis writing.

New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation estimates that about 3300 women and 25 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand every year with approximately 600-700 death every year. Unfortunately, Australia and New Zealand has the second highest incidence rate of breast cancer around the world.
